One thing is sure : freedom is our nature. Of course, freedom with consciousness, I am not refering to the freedom of doing harm to others, assuming that I am talking with other buddists who know what karma is about.
Be patient my tibetan friends and brothers and sisters... freedom will for Tibet will come sooner than you can even dream of.

Hi! Tenzin la,
Thank you for bringing up this topic on Tibet.I think Tibet in the next ten years will see a big change; and change for the better. Our road to independence is not going to be an easy one.But it is definitely achievable one without the slightest of doubt.Tibetan culture, tradition, religion, and language will never die because harder the Chinese try to destroy , more determined the Tibetans in and out of Tibet become. The younger generations of Tibetans speak better and higher standar…

While thanking Peter and Brian, if I may address you both by your first names ; I would like to take a moment to thank every single one who are supporting Tibetan cause.
Peter and Brian thank you for your honest and serious discussion on Tibet matter. You both seem to have close knowledge and understanding about Tibet and Tibetan situation.
Peter I agree with you about the charter 08.Not only that , if we listen or read about China on some of the things, there are more and more Chinese defecting…

To support Tibet, we have to support democratic reforms in China too. I have seen a few good developments. The Charter 08 action which is today already signed by 8,100 people. Wahsington post heads with "grassroots rebellion" today. Although their numbers are still small, those signing the document, and the broad spectrum from which they come, have made the human rights manifesto, known as Charter 08, a significant marker in the demands for democracy in China, one of the few sustained campaigns…

Tenzin,
Firstly, the bad viewpoint. If the CCP keep relentlessly developing urban and rural Tibet without allowing Tibetan Exiles to return and partake in the developement and decision making it will become just another Han Chinese territory. Traditional Tibetan culture will become trivialized. Buddhadharma within Tibet will diminish and decline even further. Holy sites will either be lost altogether or preserved into "security conscious" museums for the sake of tourism. Most importantly, more T…

WHO WILL BE THE NEXT KALON TRIPA 2011

i think our next PM should be bold enough to take a bold decision and young energetic, full of new ideas and very competitive, think of 6 ,million people rather than own single image, hopefully we will have a great turning point after 2011, FREE TIBET, BHO-RANGZEN

In my opinion Prof Samdhong...

In my opinion Prof Samdhong Rinpoche is a very knowledgeable and able administrattor.
I have met him and spoken to him at length. His knowledge and undertanding is very deep. and very wide.
He may not be brash and flomboyant. but he is firm and forthright in his approach with necessary politeness.
For a Goverbment in Exile and walking tight rope between China and India, he has executedhimself in excellent way.
I am not sure if any other manner would work under these circumstances.
Mind you this…

next kalon tripa became turning point in our freedom struggle life. i request all tibetan to vote for the one who can really carried this position. this is important not only for we tibetan in exile but more toward those who are in tibet. i wish all tibetan the best of luck and we will back to our tibet soon. long live his holiness and free tibet....we need some one like samthong rinpoche.BODHGYALO.

Important notes;
1; Apply all the democratic tools.
2; Maintain basic principles of our life and trasparency.
3; Space for critical questions and respect them (We Tibetans need to reflect on this-not instinctively but with farsightedness taking into consideration the democratic values).
4; Initiatives to raise awareness and pave way for the participation from all walks of life.
5; Avoid futile pregiudices( Support the truth rather than just supporting a stronger section-we need sixth sense).

The next Kalon Tripa must be someone with strong leadership skills, capable of leading the government, and bringing a clear vision that is bold and vibrant enough to also seize the interest and imagination of the young.]
